THRILLER POSTER 3 : THE TOWN
The third thriller poster I'm going to be analysing is from the movie The Town :
1. The title is coloured in the theme red. This is typical of a thriller because red is commonly associated with blood, as well as danger, telling the viewer that the movie is likely to consist of blood and danger.
2. The slogan : 'WELCOME TO THE BANK ROBBERY CAPITAL OF AMERICA' - This is a key element when representing a thriller because it references the film itself. 'bank robbery' portrays the town as high in crime, common in thrillers.
3. The weather connotes the thriller genre as it is presented as stormy. As well as the picture taking place at night, as we link darkness with characters such as ghosts and antagonists.
4. The location, in addition to title to the film is the town, this is typical in thrillers as when we are presented with a town we associate it with places such as, abandoned houses, crime etc...
5. The costumes we see in the poster are all dark in colour, mostly black. The viewer can also see FBI agents, common in a thriller genre, associated with crime and
