INTRODUCTION TO ANALYSING AND COMPARING TRAILERS

I am going to be looking at two films, Black Panther (fantasy/science fiction)& Mary Poppins (fantasy/musical). These two chosen films both have a teaser trailers, this being about 30 seconds and gets released very early on, roughly a year before the film is released. They also have a type of trailer known as theatrical trailers, this is the longest type of trailer being around 2 minutes 30 seconds, the audience is able to see this about a month before the film is released. A third type of trailer is known as a tv spot this is shown through adverts on the television, also being around 30 seconds. I've decided to look at two completely different films from different genres to see if there are any similarities and differences between these two films and their trailers. By researching this it will help me in creating my own two trailers and find out about the different types of trailers there are.
